Description
Class Experience
Acrostic poems are a type of poem that uses a word spelled out and each letter in the line describes the word using a word or phrase. In this class, we will focus on the things we find in nature to read and write about. First, several examples of acrostic poems will be shared. Collaboratively, we will create a list of the things we notices the poet did when writing the poems focusing in on the different senses that were used. After this, we will work together to write an acrostic poem....
Learners will need whatever supplies they like to use for writing *paper *writing utensil *computer to type *speech to text tools
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will refer to the book Silver Seeds: A Book of Nature Poems Book by Dan Brewer and Paul Paolilli as the source of our inspiration.
