👽 Students will be provided fill-in-the-blank notes with short reflection sections that will allow them to individually practice reflection, analysis, and abstract thought. 👽 These notes will be completed by the end of class (if someone misses blanks in their notes we will spend a short amount of time at the end of class to go back through and make sure everyone gets caught up).Class Experience

👽 Poetry will often follow rules of rhyme scheme, meter, and more; this one time middle school course will learn about these structures through studying "There Once was a Man with a Beard," "There once was a Martian Named Zed," "There Once was a Man from Nantucket," and
👽 Not only will students be introduced to a handful of new poetry, they will be challenged to understand them in both meaning and form.

👽 Single 45 minutes class
👽 Class time includes in-class comprehension/discussion questions, a powerpoint lesson, and provided skeleton notes
👽 Lesson will cover the elements of a Limerick
👽 Tone, Line, Rhyme-scheme, and Meter will all be defined, taught, and practiced
👽 Students will practice comprehension and analysis poetry
