Pods: Roblox Gaming, Coding and Digital Art Club (Spring)
Join our Outschool Pods class to build community this semester! In this ongoing club, students will socialize with other Roblox gamers who love video games, learn the foundational skills for coding and programming, and create digital art. This pod is divided into 4 sections for ease of payment - taking all four sections will result in a complete semester's course. #builder

Hello all! We cannot wait to meet you. We will be playing Roblox, Coding in Scratch and Creating Digital Art in Canva and Inkscape. Roblox Learners will have fun playing Roblox, socializing, and learning together. We will play a new game each week! Learners will post their top 3 Roblox games to the classroom. Our random generator will choose the games of the day. We will play games on a private server. Gamer tags will be required for the class. Learners or parents to privately message gamer tags directly to the teacher. *Guardians must provide permission for their enrolled students to share their Roblox player information with the teacher. Coding Each week, we will code a new game in Scratch. Various coding concepts will be covered in order to increase the students' knowledge of Scratch coding. Coders can work together and each student will be encouraged to discuss their own programming ideas with the group. This club is perfect for those who are interested in gaming and want to have a basic grasp of how video games are made. Before registering for this club, please make sure that your device is compatible with Scratch. * Students must also have a Scratch account Digital Art Graphics draw the eye and are in our daily lives. They can inspire, inform, and persuade. Let's learn how to create our own. By using Canva.com and Inkscape, we can combine and edit graphics for free without an account. With a free account, the student can save their work week after week. Canva and Inkscape can be used by children of any age. Children under the age of 13 should be directly supervised by a parent, guardian, or another authorized adult (such as a teacher) who agrees to be bound by our Terms of Use. Parental Guidance
Roblox, Canva, Scratch, and Inkscape can be used by children of any age. Children under the age of 13 should be directly supervised by a parent, guardian, or another authorized adult (such as a teacher) who agrees to be bound by our Terms of Use.

Supply List
Students will need a second mobile device to play Roblox on. If they are playing on a computer they can Zoom and play Roblox on the same device. Students will need to create a Canva and Inkscape account. They will also need to download the Inkscape app on any mobile devices they use to create digital art.
