Class Experience
In this four week course we will explore the ice dwarf planet Pluto. We will cover not only its bizarre geology, but also its historic and scientific importance in understanding our solar system. We will tackle questions such as: - What is a planet? - What are the similarities and differences between Earth and Pluto? - What can Pluto’s surface tell us about comet populations and the Kuiper Belt? - What is Pluto’s “giant heart” made of? - How did NASA’s New Horizons Mission challenge...
