Pluto: A Winter Wonderland on the Edge of the Solar System
In this one time STEAM class on space and astronomy, students will learn really amazing things about the dwarf-planet, Pluto.

Students will learn in depth about Pluto, including its atmosphere, its surface features, as well as its location in the Solar System, the Kuiper Belt. As students explore the surface of Pluto, they will discover its defining geographical feature, the heart shaped Tombaugh Regio as well as mountain regions and what cryovolcanoes are. Students will learn about the history of Pluto's discovery and naming. I am a substitute teacher who teaches multiple subjects, including science, history, ELA, humanities, and math. I also tutor students in reading, math and homework help. I also have experience in Special Education.I have a passion for the Solar System and a desire to see students learn about space.
