Students will learn basic rules of grammar, including -parts of speech -punctuation -subject/verb agreement -verb tenses
I am a Colorado-certified K-6 teacher and have been teaching for over 20 years. I have taught in a variety of setting, including public schools, private schools, and homeschool environments. I've been teaching on Outschool for over 2 years, and I love coming up with new classes!
Each week students will be assigned work in "The Language Mechanic" workbook.
Students will need a copy of "The Language Mechanic," available here as either a print book or ebook for about $25: https://www.criticalthinking.com/the-language-mechanic-book.html If you have more than one learner in the class, you can purchase just one book and make copies for multiple children.
Students are assessed informally in class. Written evaluations or grades may be given by request.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
