Description
Class Experience
Let's make learning letters and beginning sounds interactive with play dough! Class will begin by singing an ABC and beginning sound song. We will focus on 1 letter in each class from A-Z. Each class we will practice the letter and the letter sound. We will make each letter by rolling our some play dough and putting the different play doh lines in different spots. A fun play doh letter making guide will be provided for each class to help your learner to make sure they are putting their play...
Students will improve their understanding of capital and lowercase letter shapes and beginning sounds.
Play dough An area to create with play dough (This can be on a table or area that your learner can create with play doh or using a shallow bin or cookie sheet works well, too!) *A one page printable will be provided prior to each class with a guide for each capital and lowercase letter, as well as some creations that begin with that letter sound. Class can be done without this printable. **If you do print the printable guide pages out (which I do recommend: they are great starting guides!) then I recommend placing them into a clear page protector so that they play dough does not stick to the page.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
