Homework
1 hour per week. Students are encouraged to practice each skill until they feel comfortable with it.Class Experience
Do you want to learn how to make a scarf? How about amigurumis (stuffed animals)? This class is for students who want one on one instruction on how to crochet. We will start out where the student is and move forward for as long as they want. Some of the very basics covered in this class are how to make a slip knot, how to chain, and how to do a single stitch. Once the student has mastered each of those skills, we will continue to complete a project. I will work with students to help them learn these skills using different techniques until they are able to master skill. I would also like to suggest Red Heart Super Saver Yarn 4, with. a 5mm hook to get started. This yarn is easy to work with, doesn't fray as much as others, and it is easy to see what you are doing. Crochet requires fine motor skills and patience! It is one of those things where they saying "if at first you don't succeed, try and try again" definitely applies. I strongly recommend Red Heart Super Saver Yarn 5 oz to start with a 4 mm hook. Let's have some fun and learn a wonderful skill!

I created the list to provide a visual. The only thing I didn't include was scissors. I strongly recommend Red Heart Super Saver Yarn 5 oz to start with a 4, 4.5 or 5 mm hook.
