Does your student need a brain break, stress relief, or just something different and fun? This class is mostly fun but does enhance listening and following directions skills. There will also be a chance for student creativity. Students will be able to create a clap and share it if they choose to. This class requires no previous experience or knowledge and is highly interactive. We will learn various playful creative claps such as the fireworks clap, the bird clap and many more. Join me for a one-of-a kind class!

I have a masters degree in education/school counseling. I have been in education for over 30 years working at all levels. I started in middle school which I loved but then was asked to go to various elementary schools. I was a little skeptical but then found I loved that level also. Finally I was asked to start some programs at the high schools. Would I be able to enjoy and have great rapport with them? Yes, loved that level too, I just love working with kids of all ages! I want students to be successful learners. Research has established that social and emotional (SEL) skills play an important role in having success in school and in life. It has even been shown that students with good SEL skills score better on tests. It is my passion and mission to help students become healthy learners and that will be the goal of the classes I teach.
I like to be outside gardening, hiking, and playing with my grandkids. I look forward to many happy and rewarding experiences with my future students.
