Homework
2-4 hours per week. It is recommended that a student practice at least 10 minutes a day while taking lessons. This way they can briefly go over any new topics covered in that week's lesson so that we may continue to progress together.Class Experience
In this class we will learn everything we can to help you become the best possible musician. Whether piano or keyboard this course will start at your level. Together we'll quickly develop a track to get you growing. As a multi instrument musician I believe it is important to have a balance between what is being learned. We will go over many topics including playing songs, learning notes, reading music, music vocabulary, history, ear training and so much more. This is how a well rounded musician is formed. Likewise it is important to enjoy playing, which is why I often open the floor for discussion on what avenue the student may want to go down and learn that day, or what song they may want to learn. This, I find, keeps the student engaged and happy! I try to teach my classes by explaining what to do, showing them how to do it and having them repeat after me. This class is open to any student interested in piano and can start with any level of experience. This class is particularly good for students who want a shorter lesson.
