I am an experienced licensed teacher in Texas. I have taught for 30 years in all subject areas.
I am gentle, but disciplined.
I truly care about my students and their well being.
I am nurturing and I want to see my students succeed.

My mission is to:
educate and inspire students to strive to be the best they can be.
spread a smile and make a change in their little corner of the world.
have students be bold in all things.
have students ask for help if needed.

My goals are to:
have strong classroom management.
make every learner feel at ease, respected, and wanted as I welcome students into my class.
take a real interest in what your child thinks and says.
have a successful class meeting your child enjoys, have a class that holds your child's attention, and stays engaged.

Why do I teach?
I teach because I am a teacher. It is who I am. It is what I do. I love teaching! I want to reach little ones and have them succeed as they venture through their educational journey.

What do I care about?
I care about the child as a whole; their interests, their stories, their family. I care if they succeed. I aim to make lessons engaging so that "failure is not an option."

What is the purpose of my teaching business?
The purpose of my teaching business is to not only educate the child, but to help fulfill the needs of the whole child so that they succeed in every area of their life.

What outcomes do I hope to achieve?
The outcome I most want to see is that the child has felt loved and encouraged when they leave my class. My hope is that the outcome will be the child succeeds by mastering the concept taught. I hope the child has felt uplifted, respected, and had fun learning through an engaging lesson.

What is my teaching style?
I am a loving, kind, and caring teacher. I love my students. I strive to teach in a manner in which students feel loved, respected, and encouraged so that they will try their best to succeed and work hard for me.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
For my 3 and 4 your olds, I recommend parents sit next to their children just off camera to help make sure they have the right page, stay on task, and to keep them seated and quiet. I love children response. We just need to keep talking to a minimum. Some students show me their work, but I do not grade it. The parents sitting with their student can see if their student is picking up on the skill. I do not do formal or informal assessments of the students progress. There is no grade involved and no tears. Just fun!
