Enjoying math with peers
I love teaching and learning. I normally teach English classes on Outschool, yet, I still love other subjects. I taught math in elementary and middle school throughout my 15 years as a public school teacher. Math was difficult for me when I was in school. It doesn't have to be so difficult. I love math, now that I understand it. It is important that students know math fundamentals and have knowledge of the different areas of math. It is great brain exercise. Plus, math is used in the every day world. I have done a lot of reading and research on the positive effects of games for learning. Another important factor to increase learning is repetition. Gimkit and Blooket are perfect gaming platforms to use for repetition. I want students to have fun learning how to do math as they also remember the skills.

I taught special education for 15 years in public schools. I have taught online for the last 5 years. I also homeschool my son.

I keep my teaching certification active.
We will use the website and Learners can play without an account. We use a private server so only those that I invite may join.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will use Gimkit and Blooket to play math games I created. I have a paid subscription. I have a private classroom just for Play Math contestants.
