Description

Class Experience

In this class students will be taught the basic fundamentals of equal and unequal parts. We will break down how fractions work. Students will work as a group and independently. I will be teaching halves, thirds and fourths. My teaching style for this class is facilitator; meaning activity style this prompts self learning and critical thinking skills. Students will get the chance to show of creativity all while building a stinger understanding of fraction concepts. Thinking outside the box is...

Students will learn the basic concept of equal and unequal parts using play dough as a visual.

Play dough in at least two different colors will be required as well as come kind of tool to cut a circle such as a cup and a plastic knife would work well in this class. If you have play-doh tools that would work as well.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
