Welcome to Play Animal Crossing Together! 3 Day Camp! This is where your student can meet other friends to share in the game Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing is a seasonal game, releasing content each week to keep it fun and interesting. With this Multiday class, we will travel to each other's islands to explore, play games, and have fun in a safe online environment. During the 3 days, we will also go over game tips, strategies, new game updates, and/or seasonal changes we can all incorporate into our game when we are playing. This is good for experienced or new learners. Students will need the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game and Nintendo Online Membership to play with other learners. Without the membership, students can join in with the conversation but won't be able to travel to islands. The class will be student-led by their interests. Each day we will: * start the meeting with the game updates that include special seasonal items and events. * share island updates from players who want to share. * playing the game together in small groups using a Dodo code. (The teacher will assist students in the class) * discussing our current favorite parts of animal crossing; characters, villagers, flower breeding, fossils, insects, etc. * play in-game mini-games within the game (hide and seek, fishing tournaments, bug catching events, etc.) The class will be student-led. We will have discussions based on their interests and opinions to dive deeper into Animal Crossing strategy. All Animal Crossing discussion is welcome but students will likely want to talk about the newest addition: New Horizons. Parental Guidance
Please note, students will need to have a subscription with "Nintendo Online Membership" in order to access online features such as visiting others' islands. It is highly recommended to have this membership, as students spend a lot of time visiting and trading items on their islands.
Supply List
Learners must have access to a Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite and the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They must also have a Nintendo Online Membership to be able to travel to other islands.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
