US Grade 1 - 4
In this science class, we will be exploring how seeds grow into plants. We will learn about... * parts of a seed and their functions * what conditions do seeds need to grow * the process of germination * parts of a new plant * the eventual formation of new seeds * how new seeds are dispersed. I will have pictures from my garden and lots of real-life seeds and plants in different stages of growth. We will practice several technical terms such as "root", "germination", and "plant embryo", but overall the class will be conversational. I will be encouraging students to share any knowledge and experience they may have, but no prior knowledge is required! Students will be taking a fun trivia quiz throughout the class to see what they can remember. A mini-book print-off will be available for coloring and reading after the class but it is not necessary for class. **If you don't see a time that works for your family please feel free to message me a request for a better option. **The content in this class, including the story and its characters, is protected under Copyright. ©2023 Miss Elizabeth, All Rights Reserved. Minnesota Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
Hello! Thank you for stopping by! I love students of all ages and I love teaching a variety of topics. Some of my favorite classes to teach are reading, nature, and science. I try to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere so learners feel comfortable in participating. I want students to have fun while learning!
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Minnesota State University, a Minnesota teaching license, and a 160 hour TEFL certification.
I have been teaching and guiding children since 2000 as a preschool/childcare provider, an ELA teacher in public school classrooms, and an ESL teacher in online classrooms.
I love teaching, but I also love being a student! I take as many classes as possible on whatever subject piques my interest. Teaching and learning are my life!
When my three daughters are home from college we love going for hikes, cooking together, and of course, snuggling our two funny cats, Pumpkin and Marigold.
I hope to see your learner in class!
