Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner Level
Students will learn the steps to planning a service project for their family or community group. Service projects that are youth-led help the student gain valuable leadership skills in a safe way while also exploring their interests.

During each session, we will check in with each student on their progress going from idea to impact.

This course is self-paced with videos, readings, and research assignments.

Students will have a chance to share weekly what they are doing and get helpful tips to keep them on track by completing assignments and asking for feedback.

Learning Goals

Students will learn the basics of project management and how to set goals. They will work through taking action and what comes after the completion of a service project to help them discuss the skills they learned.
Students will demonstrate understanding of age-appropriate reading, writing, and math skills through using their knowledge to solve real-world problems.
