Class Experience
Learners will complete a full day curriculum with a space exploration of the planets theme, in 55 minutes. This teacher-led lesson will help participants learn the planets in order from the sun. Various digital techniques will be used to enhance learning and to help keep the children engaged (for the full 55 minutes). In one hour, students will learn... a lot! They will learn about the eight planets in order from the sun. They will learn the planets jingle, count backwards, order the planets, dance to the planet song, eat a delicious Martian snack of crispy cricket tacos and much more.
1 file available upon enrollmentPlanets worksheet printed before class begins, scissors, crayons or colored pencils, glue or tape. The worksheet is in the classroom attached to my welcome message. Please look for it there.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
observation and completed worksheet of the eight planets
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will be cutting and gluing pictures from the printed worksheet so parental guidance might be necessary if your child needs help with that. (Parents, per Outschool's safety policy, please remain off camera as much as possible.) The lesson will go more quickly if your learner has time to cut out the planet names at the bottom of the paper before class. We'll do the gluing and coloring together. Also: I have attached a file to the welcome message with a link to the password protected optional Planets in Our Solar System Genially I created. No user login in or personal information is needed. Instructions are included in the pdf.
