Let's Celebrate Earth Day! Class will begin with introductions Students will then have a chance to share what they know about our beautiful planet We will read a story that relates to Earth Day and discuss ways to protect our planet on a daily basis The group will complete an Earth Day craft Students will then have the opportunity to share something that represents our Planet to them (it can be an item from nature, a favourite book, an idea about how to protect our planet etc.) We will end class by reading an Earth Day poem Book: Celebrating Holidays: Earth Day by Rachel Grack

I am an Ontario certified Teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in the public school setting, and over 20 years of experience in various childcare settings.
I am qualified to teach Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies - with an additional qualification, and specialization in Kindergarten.
I believe in providing young learners with the opportunity to make connections between the material being taught and their own lived experiences.
I focus on Empathy and Emotional Intelligence in my lessons and provide well rounded classes (academic + creativity + social)
I am passionate about learner development - and my own University experience which has a strong focus on social and academic development is evident in all of my classes.
