Class Experience

In this one-time class, students will review the concept of place value with two-digit numbers. In an interactive format, students will solidify their understanding and modeling of two-digit numbers with tens and ones. We will collaborate to play an opening "guess my number" game, review the meaning of place value, practice the concept, and then conclude with a fun bingo game!

This class is most appropriate for students who have some previous exposure to place value with tens and ones (often first grade).

Learning Goals

Students will solidify their understanding of place value with tens and ones. 
Students will be able to model a two-digit number using tens and ones. 
Students will be able to write a two-digit number based on a model of tens and ones.

Supply List

Bingo game boards will be distributed before class. 
Students will need a pencil and paper or a whiteboard during class.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
