Students will learn how to identify the location (place) of a number along with the value (amount) of a number up to the millions place. We will cover basic place value concepts and gradually increase from there. The class will be structured in the typical format of I do, we do it together, and they do it on their own. The concepts will be taught through a whiteboard, examples, and pictures/visuals. The learners will get to interact with one another by guiding each other and they will also interact and have discussions with me. The learners will need to know basic place value to the hundreds place.

I also spent eight years teaching public school students in the ages of 8-10. I find learning to be easiest when charts, visuals, graphs, videos, examples, and manipulatives are used.
