This course is very hands-on, as students will learn how to read a recipe and put together the ingredients to make their own pizza dough. The recipe will be available to them during the class so that they can make it again. Students will practice measuring, mixing, and rolling out the dough. Then, with...
Students will learn how to read a recipe, measure, and roll out pizza dough! In doing this, they will not only gain confidence in the kitchen, but also enjoy the benefits of having a dinner made for the whole family!
Learners will need : Flour, salt, sugar, quick-rise yeast, very hot water (hot tap water is ok!), and oil. They will also need a rolling pin, measuring cups, and a pizza pan (any shape or size can work!) Please have sauce and toppings of choice prepared in advance of the class. Some options may be thinly sliced meat, grated cheese, mushrooms, peppers, onions, pineapple, ham, bacon, ect.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended for use of the oven.
