Class Experience

In this class Campers will learn how to create dynamic pixel art characters for games and animations or just for fun! No previous experience is necessary. We will use an online editor available for free at Pixilart.com. There is no additional charge to use this program.

Artech has been teaching kids to code and get creative with technology for more than 15 years. Our instructors craft highly dynamic and creative programs and classes. We incorporate the creative arts to engage and encourage creative problem solving.

We encourage learners to keep creative and keep experimenting with different forms of expression!

Learners can have some graph paper and colored pencils on hand. You could download and print some starter sheets that will be made available in the classroom closer to the start date of camps.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:PiskelApp Editor

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

We will be using a free, web-based editor called Piskel App. There is no sign up required. Learners will be able to save their Pixel Art & Animations on their own computer.
