Description
Class Experience
I've spent several years studying pirate history, reading academic papers and books. I focus on the real history and real events, rather than piracy as portrayed in popular culture.
I will provide students with a pdf afterwards with recommendations for follow-up activities and further resources.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Pirates were criminals and murders. They were often hung for their crimes. We won't dwell on blood and gore, but we will mention torture in passing.
