In this class I will teach students how to draw and paint a bunny! They will also get the choice of what element or object to add with their bunny! I think the pink guitar is a fun choice but other objects can be fun as well! I will also teach students art aspects of shading and color choice for their bunny painting. I will talk to them about character creation in art and story telling, such as children’s book authors like Beatrix Potter and the illustrations of Peter Rabbit! No experience is necessary!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I am an artist based in Castle Rock, Co right outside of Denver! I teach art classes using all kinds of mediums! I start with teaching the fundamentals of art like drawing, techniques, and color theory. I primarily like to start kids out with colored pencils and watercolor before moving on to “messier” mediums like oil, acrylic, and pastels. I have been a professional selling artist since 2014, but have been doing art much longer. I have background in taking classes from MCAD and RMCAD as well as Denver Art Students League and local artist studios. I currently have my work in a Denver art gallery, Kanon Collective as well as the Denver VA Medical Center, for I am an Army veteran! I have been teaching kids art classes since 2017 out of my home and now online! I love teaching kids art because they get so much joy out of it as well as I do! My philosophy with art and kids to make sure they are having fun while learning how to do art, and also to always have positive takeaways from each class. I want to leave them with the gift of knowing that art does not have to be perfect in order to be beautiful! I have a sweet and rambunctious dog named Rocky! I look forward to teaching your kids!
