This is a fitness class using the Pilates method to focus on stretching and strengthening muscles for healthy posture. A workout for learners to improve core strength and flexibility in the hips and spine each class.

Class experience

Students will strengthen their posture muscles in back, abdominals and hip muscles, and stretch muscles in the neck shoulders, back and hips.
The teacher for this class is a certified Pilates instructor and licensed physical therapist. She has been teaching dance and Pilates for over 15 years.
Homework Offered
1-2 exercises are suggested each week for self practice

Students will need a mat in an open space where they can comfortably be on the ground and exercise, a water bottle to stay hydrated is always helpful also. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Pilates can be modified for most common injuries or limitations. In fact, Pilates is used by physical therapists to treat patients all over the world. Please contact me before class to discuss any injuries.
