Class experience
Learn the basics of a mat Pilates class, breathing, core work and all the basic moves. Learn the basics of a mat Pilates class, breathing, core work and all the basic moves. Expect to achieve better posture, better balance, better core control, self awareness and connection between the mind on body over time. This helps in everyday life and in any sport. Another great thing about Pilates... you get to be barefoot ( no sneakers needed, no jumping, you wont even be on your feet much) , and chances are you won't get all sweaty either. Win Win!
I am a certified group fitness instructor, and personal trainer. I have extra training in Pilates and have taught it to kids and adults for over 15 years.
PLEASE supervise as needed to be sure the following is taking place: Proper form and following of instructions. No weights or resistance bands are to be used for this class. If you have a water bottle nearby for class, please make sure there is a lid securely on it in case it gets knocked over. Pilates is best done barefoot. No shoes are needed for this class but if the student prefers, sneakers are the only acceptable form of footwear. This workout should not be performed if: The student is not feeling well, if the student is recovering from a serious illness or injury. Remember to tell the student if something hurts, don't do it. Thank you for taking these safety precautions in to consideration!
