Get ready for six weeks of laughter, surprises, and elephant-and-piggy-sized fun! In this book club, we’ll explore Mo Willems’ hilarious Piggie & Gerald books through live read-alouds, expressive reading practice, and hands-on activities. Each week, we’ll dive into a new story, act out silly scenes, and create fun crafts inspired by Piggie and Gerald’s wild adventures. From flying lessons and party planning to toy mishaps and surprising friends, every class will bring these delightful characters to life! Students will have the chance to read along, practice fluency and expression, and even bring toys, hats, and surprises to share. This isn’t just a book club—it’s a Piggie and Gerald adventure you don’t want to miss! This book club will not only nurture a love of reading, but also give students a chance to build fluency, practice reading with expression, and engage with stories in fun, hands-on ways! Come for the stories, stay for the laughs—and bring your biggest elephant trumpet and silliest piggy giggle!
