Picture Book Creator is an interactive, hands-on course for young authors and illustrators. Each week, students will dive into a new stage of the book-making process, from writing a story and designing characters to creating illustrations and assembling their book. Students will learn through doing, with plenty of encouragement and support at every step. Important note: Depending on their chosen illustration style and amount of detail, students may only complete a dummy book (two full illustrations and the rest are drafts/sketches) within the 8 weeks of the class.
Learning Goals
Grow storytelling skills, including narrative structure and character development.
Have confidence in sharing and presenting their creative work.
