What's included

Class Experience

Students - We have about 400 of your favorite songs to choose from, and we're adding a new one to the list every single week! All you gotta do is pick any 3 songs from the list:

Then I'll send you the step-by-step video tutorial, the printable PDF and play-along MP3 for your favorite songs. Each song is taught at multiple levels, so no matter if you're an absolute beginner or you've been playing for years like me, you'll find something that is do-able and is also kind of a challenge!

Then, as soon as you have questions, you can ask me any time of any day through the classroom or even use your phone to submit a video on the Flipgrid link I'll give you (it's super easy to do), and I'll respond with instructions and/or videos to help you through every question, as much as you want and need.

You can do this!!!

...and of course, the ability to contact Jamin at any time through the classroom for individualized attention.

Parents - Who's ready to watch your kids learn the most important fundamentals of music without even knowing it while playing their favorite songs and impressing their family and friends!? I know I am, and thousands of other parents are too, using our unique, engaging multi-level lessons. Each song is taught at multiple levels so everyone from the absolute beginner to a trained professional has an appropriate challenge, and everyone walks away being able to play the song!

And you'll get to keep all the materials, so even after the class is over, you'll have all the printable sheet music and play-along tracks for years to come! And since each song includes levels from beginner to advanced, your student will be able to reuse the same songs and learn something new each time they revisit a song!

These lessons are all pre-recorded, but you CAN have your own personalized interactions through the classroom and by submitting videos for feedback, or just to show off :)

This asynchronous class is a perfect fit for learning music because each student can take their own unique amount of time to practice and master the material and still always have the assistance of the teacher through the classroom chat or video submission. Students have access to the instructor when the lesson is too confusing or boring. Mid-week announcements and assignments will be provided to supplement the prerecorded content, as each class has individual needs.

Each lesson comes with homework assignments, downloadable, printable slides of the material, and all lessons include a play-along downloadable MP3 audio track to practice with. Students will be able to choose from a range of assignments, including using the teacher's Flipgrid.com classroom to submit videos of themselves playing the assignments.

I have been teaching music to kids and adults for over 20 years, and it's the world's best job.

A credentialed teacher, I primarily teach piano, guitars, drums, ukulele, banjo, bass, saxophone, and flute. Besides teaching music, I also spent many years as an elementary classroom teacher, and like to spend as much time as possible with my wife and six kids.

I believe that learning an instrument isn’t magic! Anyone can jump in and learn what they want. You CAN do at least some of it and you can’t mess it up. The music is here and it wants to be your friend.

Music is just a foreign language, so it can be as serious or as leisurely as you want. You can dedicate your life to the language or just learn a few words. The music is here to serve us, not the other way around. Most piano and guitar programs are insanely inaccessible, but my mission is to fix that with a specialized approach for every learning style. Jump in and explore. I’ll help show you around!

Let's explore. Let's learn. Let's rock!
