Beginner Level
To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.

I’ve taught guitar to students 5yr old to adults in four different countries. 
(U.A.E., Qatar, Taiwan, USA) 
My experience is over twenty years.

Details: For beginners, finger exercises are a building block for chords, chords build to strumming and lead to a full song. At this level, I encourage short intervals of 5-10min, a few times a day. (Fingers may be sore)
Assessment

Details: Our informal assessment could be based on… The clean sound we get from our strings A completed strum pattern Verbal/Visual acknowledgment of notes
Provide a basic classical (nylon strings) acoustic (no electric) or electric guitar (with amplifier) 
If you can have strings tuned, great. If not, we can do that in class. It does need to have 6 strings. 
A basic used guitar shouldn’t be more than $100 dollars in a pawn shop, thrift store, or FB Market, etc…
Once we realize they have talent and want to advance, then consider a nice guitar.
