In this 6-week course learners will continue to work through a purchased piano book, playing songs and learning related music theory including G major scale and chords in the key of G.

Description
Class Experience
The learner will read and play notes on the treble staff and bass staff in major and minor keys. National Music Standards *MU:Pr4.2.6b When analyzing selected music, read and identify by name or function standard symbols for rhythm, pitch, articulation, and dynamics. *MU:Pr6.1.5a Perform music, alone or with others, with expression, technical accuracy, and appropriate interpretation.
Learners should practice between each lesson to be prepared for the next week. Assignments will be given at the end of each class.
Learners must purchase their own copies of Faber Piano Adventures Level 2B Lesson Book which can be found through several vendors. https://pianoadventures.com/browse/levels/level-2b/ Learners also need a pencil to make notations in their books throughout class. Learners will be given a Piano Progress Chart to be used throughout the course.

Learners will be informally assessed on demonstration of basic piano skills and music theory. Learners can self-assess their progress as the practice and complete challenges at home.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will be given a link to a practice page that is just for their class. The link is on my website and may include video demonstrations of the songs recorded by the teacher and play along audio. There are no outside links on the practice page.
