Each learner will need a copy of this book for the class. Throughout this course learners will focus on reading notes and interpreting music symbols. Learners will be presented with visuals of the songs as well as a keyboard visual to facilitate understanding throughout the lesson. During each class, learners will review music theory with...
The learner will read and play notes on the treble staff and bass staff in major and minor keys. Learners should practice between each lesson to be prepared for the next week. Assignments will be given at the end of each class.
Learners must purchase their own copies of Faber Piano Adventures Level 2B Lesson Book which can be found through several vendors. https://pianoadventures.com/browse/levels/level-2b/ Learners also need a pencil to make notations in their books throughout class. Learners will be given a Piano Progress Chart to be used throughout the course.
Learners will be informally assessed on demonstration of basic piano skills and music theory. Learners can self-assess their progress as the practice and complete challenges at home.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will be given a link to a practice page that is just for their class. The link is on my website and may include video demonstrations of the songs recorded by the teacher and play along audio. There are no outside links on the practice page.
