The learner will read and play notes on the treble staff and bass staff in the key of C. Learners should practice between each lesson to be prepared for the next week. Homework assignments will be given at the end of each class.
Learners must purchase their own copies of Faber Piano Adventures Level 1 book which can be found through several vendors. https://pianoadventures.com/publications/piano-adventures-level-1-lesson-book-2nd-edition/ Learners also need a pencil to make notations in their books throughout class. Learners will be given a Piano Progress Chart to keep track of practicing.
Learners will be informally assessed on demonstration of basic piano skills and music theory. Learners can self-assess as they practice at home.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will be given a link to a practice page that is just for their class. The link is on my website and may include video demonstrations of the songs recorded by the teacher and play along audio. There are no outside links on the practice page.
