I am an Classically-trained pianist based out of southwest Ohio, where my wife and I own and operate a private music studio. I've taught for over 15 years, and teach students ages 5 to adult, from beginners to advanced pianists. Additionally, I am a Collaborative Pianist at Wright State University, where I perform over 50 concerts each year, and I host Classical music radio on the weekends on Discover Classical, which you can listen to online at discoverclassical.org.
Students will be expected to practice 4-5 days between each lesson. Beginners are expected to practice for 15-20 minutes per day, intermediate students may be expected to practice up to 30-40 minutes per day, and advanced students may be expected to practice 40-60 minutes per day.
I will recommend materials after an initial assessment of each student. Materials are typically between $10 and $15.
Student progress will be assessed at the beginning of each subsequent lesson, and occasional online performance opportunities will be available for students to showcase their competency on the instrument.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
