In this once a week, online course your student will play familiar and new songs on the piano, while gaining new techniques.
Class experience
Piano songs will be taught through familiar and new melodies. Topics covered will include playing technique, note reading, scales, chords, rhythm, music symbols, and composers. Week 1: Learner and teacher will share a choice of song by playing it on the piano. This will give both the learner and teacher a guide for the student's level and a starting point. Students will play new and familiar songs at an intermediate level. Intermediate level means that the learner knows how to read music notes, rhythms and symbols on the music staff.
Music will be provided through PDF files. Learners will be required to download the files in order to access them during the week for practice. It is highly recommended to print the files out and organize the pages in a 3-ring binder. Learners also need a spiral notebook and pencil for reminders or for taking notes.

Parents will be given the opportunity to sign their learner up for a 3rd party tool- www.practicespaceapp.com. This app complies with current COPPA guidelines for children under the age of 13. Participation with this app is totally voluntary. Price is included in course fee.
