This course is for novice beginners, or advanced beginners to piano. We will cover basic chords, basic scales, and learn to play with both hands on the keyboard. 
If your child took my "Introduction to Beginner Piano" course , then this is a great next step. 
If your child is brand new to piano , then this will be a super introduction for them. 
You can sign up for additional 2 week sessions of this course , or a 3-week session, if you want them to continue. 
The student will learn to improvise on a simple scale with their right hand, while playing chords in the left hand. 
We will cover some basic music theory , in regards to keys, scales and chords. 
The student will get a feel for the keyboard and experience playing piano , to have a better idea of what it is like. 
My teaching style is creative and adaptable , based on the individual learner. 
I teach to accommodate the individual learner. 
Students will learn where the notes are on the keyboard and the be able to find their way around the piano keyboard. 
Students will learn a couple of basic scales. 
The student will learn to play some basic chords with both  the left and right hands. 
We will do some basic improvising on a scale with the right hand , along with some chords in the left hand. 
The student will learn some basic warm - up exercises for each hand. 
They will be able to play with confidence and feel comfortable with the keyboard. .ividual learning style of the student. 
Each week , I will post some hand written papers and short videos into the outschool classroom, so that the student will be able to use those to practice with and to refresh what we did in the last class.
