Class Experience

Piano Junior is a fun, high energy one time piano exploration class!  This class will introduce your child to beginning piano/music concepts with puppets, singing and movement activities.  The main goal of this class is to get your child excited about playing an instrument in the future. This class is also a great way to gauge your learner's interest in piano.  

Here are some of the concepts we will cover in this class:

Fast (Presto)
Slow (Largo)
Loud (Forte)
Soft (Piano)
Black and...

Students will learn basic musical concepts that will lead them to playing piano in the future.

Hi!  My name is Dayle and I am a group and private music teacher!  I am a graduate of Setnor School of Music at Syracuse University.  I have been performing professionally and teaching music for the past 9 years.  I believe that the best way for children to learn music is just like they learn language- early, gradually and continuously.  I make learning music fun!  I love to collect musical instruments and have a large collection of both common and unusual instruments that I share in my classes!

Homework Offered
Parents will be provided with some suggested activities that will help their child maintain the concepts they learned in class.

0A piano or keyboard is not required for the class (if you have one you are more than welcome to play along in the class).  If you do have one, you can use it to practice the concepts after class- I have provided some activities in the classroom.
