Description
Class Experience
Feel free to message me with lesson time requests. In private lessons, students will have a chance to learn more in-depth and have the curriculum tailored to the student's interest. I strive to create lessons that are fun and engaging while also challenging the student to grow as a musician. I offer private lessons in piano, guitar, songwriting, music theory, ukulele. I offer follow up notes for the student so they know what goals to work on each week and how to make the most of their...
I will offer suggestions each week on what to focus on depending on the student's goals.
I have a Master's Degree in Music Education and a BA in Music. I have been teaching students for over 12 years and have produced many successful student recitals in Chicago and New York City.
Students should expect to practice in between each weekly lesson. It's better to do small practice sessions than to try to cram everything in one or two big days of practicing.
Since lessons are tailored to each individual student, I will create a supply list once we have our first meeting. This prevents parents from needlessly buying materials if the student isn't interested in a particular area.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will offer feedback every lesson to let the student know what he/she is doing well and also what he/she can do to improve certain areas of their playing.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
