This is the third part of the popular Outschool piano class, "Introduction to Piano Fundamentals" Our goal is to complete the Alfred Level 1A Piano book from page 46- 61. Learners enrolled should have completed Fundamentals 1 and 2, or be able to read notes fairly well in C position with both hands. We also need to be able to play both hands simultaneously. Several months of piano lessons are recommended before signing up and the class will move fairly quickly. We will not be able to accommodate non-readers, Fundamentals 2 is recommended for learners needing a brush up on reading and Introduction to Piano Fundamentals for pure beginners. I will demonstrate the class material. Then, I will have the students play along while muted. After this, I will give the students a minute to practice, and then select students to demonstrate the pieces. Week 1- Review of reading, intervals, and playing both hands simultaneously Week 2- Pages 46-49 Week 3- Page 50-51 "G Position" Week 4- Pages 52-53 "Willie and Tillie" Week 5- Pages 54-56 "Sharps and Flats" Week 6- Pages 57-58 "Indian Song" Week 7- Page 59 "Hide and Seek" Week 8- Pages 60 and 61 "Horse Sense" and celebrate! This is an exciting piano course for students that are ready to get serious about playing the piano.
