In this camp, students will continue to develop the skills they have developed in Piano Level A
Class experience
Please note: Level A is a prerequisite for this class. This class picks up where Level A leaves off. Students will continue to develop their sight-reading skills, identify steps and skips on the staff, play simple pieces using hands together, practice using the damper pedal, play tied notes, learn about quarter rests, read and play in 4/4 and 3/4 time signatures, continue to develop dynamic control and learn to play staccato and legato. (Purple cover) (Please note: Students who completed the prerequisite course Level A already have this book. https://pianoadventures.com/publications/piano-adventures-primer-level-lesson-book-2nd-edition/ Students should have access to a piano or keyboard for the course. A keyboard that has at least 76 keys and allows for dynamic expression (sometimes call weighted or graded keys or touch response) is preferred. It is helpful for students to have a phone/tablet holder or stand so I can see their hands while playing the piano.
