This class is an opportunity to try a fun hands-on learning session in a group piano class. This class will be interactive as each student is at his or her piano or keyboard to learn the basics of the piano as well as rhythm. My goal is to keep things fun, encouraging and upbeat as we learn to make music. No experience is necessary. Here is a brief overview of learning goals and what you can expect from this class. *Learn how to sit at the piano *Proper technique in a round hand shape position. Imagine an egg inside. Who can play without cracking their egg? *Finger number wiggle game *Clapping rhythm game to learn to keep a steady beat *Finding home base middle C and put a sticker on home base *Learn how the pecking rooster plays low notes below middle C *Learn how the pecking hen plays higher notes above middle C *Let's learn to play a song. This is an opportunity for a beginner to try a private lesson or a group piano class. We will learn a lot about the piano in a short amount of time in this one time piano class and have a lot of fun in the process.
