This Piano at Christmas 4-week course is intended for beginner pianists ages 5-10 and is recommended to be taken after the Piano at Christmas Intro Course. If a student is unable to take the intro course, they will be provided with a handout before the first class to make sure they are able to be on track with the other students and get the full experience! In this class, you will learn the following: -Piano note names -Piano finger numbers -Treble clef note reading -Basics of hand...
-Piano note names -Piano finger numbers -Treble clef note reading -Basics of hand position and posture -Hands separate playing -up to 5 Christmas songs (Jolly Old St. Nicholas, Jingle Bells, Santa Shark, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree)
After each class, students will be need to practice the songs learned in order to maintain the information.
-IMPORTANT: Students must have their own Keyboard or Piano. (88 weighted keys are not required. Any type of keyboard--even a toy--can work!) -A hand-out will be provided 24 hours before class. This hand-out is intended only for class purposes and is not to be further distributed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No assessment--this class is about having fun and personal progress! However, students have the option to play for each other every class and may perform on Week 3.
