Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about pianos and keyboards, their various functions and effects, correct posture and hand/finger positions, and basic fundamentals of music theory (notation, scales, chords), in addition to building a growing repertoire of songs to play. Requests for help in learning special favorite songs are especially welcomed, to give more reasons for the student to stay interested and motivated.

About Me

Aloha! I'm "Teacher Leilani" in the classroom, just for fun, but my name is Leigh Johansen; that's the short form. It's actually Jane Leigh Johansen-Oishi, but what was I thinking there?
I have been around many blocks, having just retired in 2019...
