1-2 hours per week. Students will be individually assigned to practice their songs from their book as well as scales four times a week.Class Experience
This class is a class for students that have finished Level 3A Piano. This monthly class can be taken repeatedly until the student has finished their 3B Level Piano Book. Students will also be routinely assigned classical literature challenge pieces that are matched to their level by teacher assessment. Classical repertoire assigned will be public domain, and given in class via PDF. This class is structured so that student can work at their own pace in their piano lesson book and get feedback from the teacher, as well as have opportunities to play piano in a group setting. Students’ homework will be to practice their assigned music four times a week. The class will be structured as following: Theory Lessons and Scales (10-15 minutes of class time): November 1: A minor parallel scale/ I,IV,V7 chord review November 8: A minor contrary motion scale/ Alberti Bass November 15: A minor with the metronome at 96, 144, and 192/ syncopation November 22: A minor scales review with primary chords *Syllabus is subject to change for theory lessons
