In just 1 week, your beginner musician (ages 7–11) will learn to play real songs—no experience needed! This camp is a preview of my popular 8-week course, perfect for families who want to "try it out" before making a bigger commitment. We meet Monday–Thursday, and wrap up the week with a musical Escape Room and a special Graduation Celebration! 🎵 What Your Child Will Learn: ✅ Piano posture & hand position ✅ Finger numbers & note names ✅ Black & white keys (CDEFGAB) ✅ Rhythm basics (quarter, half, whole notes) ✅ Simple music reading & vocabulary ✅ Fun beginner songs + BONUS: “Ode to Joy” Tutorial! 🗓 Daily Class Breakdown: Class 1 • Meet & greet • Hand position & posture • Intro to black keys Class 2 • Quarter notes • Black key songs Class 3 • Half notes • White keys: C D E Class 4 • Whole notes • White keys: F G A B • Student performances & certificate celebration 🎓 💡 Teaching Style: This camp is built around the idea that kids learn best through immersion and play! We'll talk about the music, watch it come to life, play along with me (muted), and then students can share if they feel ready. Every student is supported and encouraged—we cheer each other on and have so much fun together! They’ll also receive a book they can keep to continue learning after camp ends. 💬 Parent Love: “This class was so engaging and my child couldn't wait to play piano each day!” “We loved how interactive and encouraging Ms. Diana was!” 🎉 By the end of the week, your child will leave with new piano skills, a certificate of completion, and a big smile. I can't wait to journey alongside your camper this summer! Feel free to message me here on Outschool if you have any questions! 💛 Ms. Diana

Parental Guidance
To make sure your child has the best experience in camp, please review the following:
🎥 Camera Setup is Required
Your child must have their camera on during the entire class.
I must be able to see both your child and the piano/keyboard clearly in order to guide them through posture, hand position, and technique.
I’ll post an example of the proper camera angle in the “Classroom” before our first class begins.
🎼 Music Materials
Students will need either:
The printed music provided
OR
The Faber Piano Adventures Primer Lesson Book (link provided in the Materials section)
👨👩👧 Parent Support (First Few Lessons)
I kindly ask that a parent or guardian stay nearby for at least the first 2–3 lessons to help with:
Camera adjustments
Zoom/audio troubleshooting
Keyboard setup
Encouragement and support during practice
For the first 4 weeks, your support helps ensure your child is set up for success, especially for younger or first-time learners.
📬 Communication
I’ll reach out through the Outschool classroom or message system to:
Celebrate your child’s progress
Share helpful updates or reminders
Partner with you to support your child’s musical journey
🛑 Why Camera Visibility Matters
For your child’s safety and learning experience:
I cannot provide proper instruction without seeing your child at the piano.
Visual cues help me correct hand position and give real-time feedback.
A clear camera angle allows me to offer the best support possible!
