Intermediate Level
This class is a class for students that have finished Level 3B Piano. This monthly class can be taken repeatedly until the student has finished their Level 4 Piano Book. Students will also be routinely assigned classical literature challenge pieces that are matched to their level by teacher assessment. Classical repertoire assigned will be public domain, and given in class via PDF. This class is structured so that student can work at their own pace in their piano lesson book and get feedback from the teacher, as well as have opportunities to play piano in a group setting. Students’ homework will be to practice their assigned music four times a week. **The syllabus is subject to change based on the students' needs in the class.

Chord Inversions- C and Am
Learning C major and A minor in root position, first inversion, and second inversion.

Lesson 2:
Duple Meter and Tenuto Markings
Learning about different types of duple meters. We will also talk about tenuto markings and techniques for playing them on the piano.

Lesson 3:
Chord Inversions - G and Em
Learning G major and E minor in root position, first inversion, and second inversion.

Motive and Sequences
Learning about motives and sequences in music, as well as being able to analyze them throughout a piece.

Pre-Requisites
Students must have completed piano up to level 3B to take this class.
