What Will Be Taught?
In this STEM class, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of sound and light. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, students will explore the properties of waves, the nature of sound and light, and the principles of perception.

Introduction to Properties of Sound
 Sound: Uncover properties of sound, how is sound formed, how does sound travel. Dive into amplitude, frequency, wavelength of sound waves. What is pitch? And what impacts pitch?

Introduction to Doppler Effect and Wave Interference
 Sound: Explore speed of sound, medium of propagation, doppler effect, constructive and destructive interference. Understand the science behind echolocation and sonic boom.

Introduction to Fundamental Properties of Light
 Light: Introduction to what light is, dive into visible spectrum, properties of light like refraction, reflection and absorption. Understand wavelength, color and light as energy.

Ever since she can remember, she had the tinkerer mindset and the itch to break open everyday objects to understand how they worked. But she never had the environment or tools to encourage her curiosity.
