Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class we will learn about physics while conducting one experiment per week. The teacher will lead learners through the steps of the scientific method to make predictions, conduct the experiment, and discuss results. The teacher will also ask learners why they think their results occurred and will take time to explain the physics behind each experiment. 

Experiments will include: 
Week of April 11: Buoyancy 
Week of  April 18: Surface tension with a penny
Week of April 25:...

Week of April 11: Large bowl of water, food coloring (optional), 30 plus pennies per boat, Aluminum Foil
Week of April 18: Pennies, Eyedropper or pipette, Water, Food coloring, Small bowls
Week of April 25: 2 Water Bottles, Cooking Oil, Water, Large Container Filled With Water, Sharpies
Week of May 2: Dental floss, Coffee Filter, Mini-figure

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Learners may need off camera adult assistance with some of the experiments.
