Description
Class Experience
The goal of the this class is to teach students basic scientific terms and concepts as the groundwork for further scientific exploration. Students are expected to be able to comprehend and replicate the concepts taught in the form of verbal explanations or scientific experiments.
I have a B.S. in Biology and have been instructing young learners for over 10 years.
Homework assignments will be assigned at the end of each class. These assignments include: -Scientific experiments -Comprehension worksheets
Students will need: -Carton in the form of toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, etc -String in the form of thread, yarn, etc -Plastic or metal straws -Rubber bands -Construction paper
Students's homework submissions will be reviewed after they are submitted.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please take the proper safety precautions with the experiments that might be assigned in this class. Students are not encouraged to try and gather any materials that are needed without parental guidance.
The textbook for the class is in the form of PDF documents that are also used to conduct each class. Students are encouraged(but not required) to print out the PDF file before each class and bring it to each class with them. Youtube videos will also be assigned over each topic covered in class(parental guidance strongly encouraged).
