This is a 10 week class that covers that basics of Physical Science for upper-level middle shool and high school student! It could be used as a class for homeschoolers or an enrichment that reinforces some of the physical science concepts!

This class is a live class that will cover the basics of physical science! It would be a great option for students needing support in Physical Science or for a necessary science class. Each week is unique! One week we may be constructing our own investigation and the next we may be researching how this aspects apply to our every day life! I have designed this class to follow the NGSS Standards for Physical Science. The structure of the class includes some lecture, group conversations, videos, google slides, interactive google slides and online games. Discussion paired with students self-inquiry and creativity is learning to be remembered.

We will break down each step of the scientific method, practice writing a hypothesis and then create their own investigation 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Atoms and the Atomic Theory
We will learn the atom with vocab, the subatomic Particles, what the Atomic Number and Atomic Mass mean. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Periodic Table of Elements
We will learn how to read the periodic table, understand what each item on the table represents, elements with similar properties and how we use them. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Pure Substances and Mixtures
Difference between elements, compounds, pure substances and mixtures and a research activity on pure substances and mixtures. 45 mins online live lesson
