Class Experience
During this 4 week flex class, students will learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop. No prior knowledge of Photoshop is required. Students will need to have their own access to Adobe Photoshop, the program itself is not provided in this class. This is a flex class, meaning there will be no live zoom meetings. Every week for 4 weeks, students will be given a detailed video tutorial of a fun and engaging Photoshop activity to help them learn the platform. Students will post their projects each week in the classroom for comments and feedback. The projects are as follows: Week One: Filter Grid Students will learn about all the different filters and how to use them by creating a unique filter grid. Week Two: Clone Stamp Students will learn how to use the clone stamp tool by creating fun textured eggs. Week Three: Cubism Pet Portrait Students will learn how to use the lasso tool by creating a beautiful Cubism inspired portrait of their pet (or any animal). Week Four: Turn a Photo into a Cartoon Students will combine a variety of Photoshop tools to turn a photograph of their choice into a cartoon. Video tutorials will be posted on each Monday. Students will be able to ask questions in the classroom at anytime, should they need help. On Fridays, students will upload their finished project to a class google slideshow. Students will then have the opportunity to ask their peers questions they may have and critique/comment on each others work.
